Sandpits / Sandboxes FAQ
Yes, a sandpit and sandbox are the same. Both are enclosed play areas filled with sand, designed to give kids a safe space to dig, build and explore.
Sandpit play encourages creativity, social interaction and motor skill development. Activities like digging and building help children learn through imaginative and hands-on play.
The amount of sand depends on the size of the sandpit. Smaller models may need around 100-200 kg, while larger playground sandpits may require 300 kg or more. Always check the product specifications for exact amounts.
All kids sandpits from Lifespan Kids are tested to strict Australian safety standards, a high benchmark for kids play equipment. This ensures the use of non-toxic and non-flammable materials for your child's safety. Adult supervision is always recommended.
Sandpits come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Compact models fit small backyards, while larger kids sandpits or playground sandpits are designed for group play.
