About Our Covers for Sandpits

Our covers for sandpits are built using wood that's been high temperature treated for added strength and durability. This treatment helps protect against rot, decay and insect damage, built to handle the harsh Aussie climate. With choices for both small and large sandpits, our covers provide an effective solution for maintaining a cleaner, more hygienic play environment.

Sandpit Covers FAQ

Without a cover, your sandpit is exposed to weather, pets, insects and debris. A sandpit cover helps keep sand cleaner and drier, reducing the risk of contamination and minimising how often sand needs to be replaced.

Our sandpit covers are all timber for the best protection. Some sandpit models will come with a tarp cover as well. Tarp covers are lightweight and easy to use, while wooden sandpit covers offer greater durability and protection.

No, sandpit covers are not one size fits all. It's important to choose the correct size and shape, such as a rectangle sandpit cover or octagonal sandpit cover.

It's a good idea to remove the sandpit cover regularly to allow sunlight and airflow to help dry and naturally sanitise the sand. Occasional airing reduces moisture buildup and helps prevent mould or unpleasant odours in the sandpit.

Yes, sandpit covers should be properly secured to prevent them from blowing away or allowing debris underneath. Many covers include tie-down points or elastic edges to keep them firmly in place, especially in severe wind.
